Quote Of The Week – 28 – 2016

What Is Radical Action?

“The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing”

-Walt Disney

What it means for me

Action is the key to success. Since we still live in a 3D world it requires action to achieve your goals. Thinking, talking and meditating about them will not be sufficient to manifest them. It is certainly helpful to get aware of the fact that you should have some goal for you. People can be only happy if they see some sort of development in their lives. So think about your goal, talk about it and write it down. Fine.

Now that you have your goal, think about what you are doing every day in order to achieve it. Are you thinking about it? Are you talking about it? Well done, constant focus on your goal is of paramount importance. But don’t stop there.

Get into radical ACTION! Every Day! You don’t have time? I don’t think so. Just spend half an hour each day to do something about your goal and stick to it. Ask yourself each morning what is the single most, highest impact action step you could do today within your given time of 30 minutes? Do this right after getting up and doing your ritual of gratitude. What is that? Gratitude is important to get into a state of abundance because you focus on what you have instead of what you want (don’t have). Tuning into a state of abundance each day and working 30 minutes for your goal will definitely get you moving.

After all, you have to set the cause that will create the desired effect. The law of cause and effect is an integral part of the 7 Hermetic Principles. No matter what it is you do, you will get the appropriate reaction. No action = No reaction vs. Action towards your goal = reaction in alignment with your goal.

You have the power to decide. And you have to make this decision every day. Because this is what every person in history had to do in order to achieve his or her goals. We all have 24 hours per day. And no matter how you decide, chose wisely and move ahead with confidence.

So stop talking and start doing. This is what I did today by starting this new weekly quote series on Holistic Life Transformation. Every week there will be a new quote that helps us to become our greatest version, one step at a time. Peace and love and have a wonderful week.

Who Said It

I think almost everyone heard the name Disney before and know who is Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse. However, Walt Disney (1901 – 1966) may not be familiar to many of us. It is easy to read about his achievements and say that he simply got talent and luck. But I think it is always worthy to look a bit closer. And the most inspiring time for me to do so is to look at the early years “before” the success. He wasn’t born with the idea Mickey Mouse in his head or the ability to draw. And having talent is not enough to become successful.

It takes continuous effort and commitment.

When he was still a kid he was paid to draw the horse of a retired neighbor. From then he developed an interest in drawing and kept practicing by copying cartoons.

Did you know that later on he and his brother woke up every day at 4.30 am to deliver the Times before school and repeated that after school for the Evening Star? He did this for six years. At the same time he attended Saturday courses at an art institute and took a course in cartooning. Later on when he worked as an apprentice artist he got laid off because the company couldn’t pay him anymore.

He started a business with a fellow artist. But since they didn’t make enough money he left again to make some money first. However, the first company didn’t survive.

After working for the new company he experimented with moving animations at home and started a new company after successfully producing a short cartoon. However, the company went into bankruptcy two years later. And despite the efforts to sell his produced film it didn’t work out.

After this he kept going and went to Hollywood and started a new business, this time called the Disney Brothers Studio which later became The Walt Disney Company. Then again after some years he lost almost his entire crew over a dispute with the producer about getting more money. After this he created Mickey Mouse which was the breakthrough.

With this the struggles weren’t over but the start has been made over the previous years and I think we all know how the story ended. For me, I don’t want to miss the time reading Donald Duck cartoons when I was a kid. I loved them and still consider them to be my all-time favorite cartoons. Are you ready for another treasure hunt with Dagobert and Donald Duck? 🙂

I left out many of the details here in order to focus on what is essential in my point of view. Never give up and do what you love and success will come automatically.
