The 7 Chakras And Their Meanings For Your Journey Through Life
In this post, I want to point out the correspondence between our life path and our chakras. As you will see, they are not only energetic centers within our bodies, but they also correspond to our individual spiritual development. Everything we experience in life is a chance to grow. Even we cannot predict what is going to happen to us, we always have a choice about how we are reacting.
Our reaction can transform any event and heal us AND the situation independently from time and space. Thus, we can grow out of it and move on. By accepting the present moment we reach a state of inner peace and thus are no longer influenced by cause and effect. Instead, due to our inner balance, we are causing an effect on the world around us. This will cause your outside world to get in balance as well.
Understanding the properties of our chakras and their purpose is one way to get started in acquiring fundamental knowledge that can become wisdom if you are able and willing to apply it in your life on your journey to become your greatest version.
What are chakras?
Chakra means “spinning wheel” and is a swirling energetic center when activated. These vortexes of energy are lying across our body on a spinal column between the base of the spine and the crown of the head. They are circular or flower petal in shape and this is how they are often illustrated.
The chakras are located at important glands in our body and enable the uniform and balanced flow of life energy. When they are out of balance or the energy flow is disrupted then you may experience mental or health issues.
Although treating those symptoms may make them disappear for a while they will continue to return one way or another unless you solve the energy blockage that is causing them.
Therefore, it is very important to have at least a basic understanding of the chakras are. Then you can draw a line between your current life and body status to your energetic body with the chakras being the “representative reference points”.
Where are the chakras located?
If you are unfamiliar with the meaning and the location of each chakra then I give you a quick overview below.
1. Root Chakra
The root chakra is located at the base of the spine. It governs survival, self-perseverance and base instincts, and our identification with the physical world or the most earth-centered energy. It is the densest energy center which corresponds to the red color.
2. Sacral Chakra
The sacral chakra is located just below the navel. The main energies of this color are creativity, feelings and developing the ego or your individual personality. It also deals with polarity, sexuality, male and female, control and money matters. The next color in the spectrum is orange which is the color of this chakra.
3. Solar Plexus Chakra
The solar plexus chakra represents your personal power. Further, it represents your self-esteem and is responsible for your success and the way you understand your place in the world. It is named for the network of nerves in the stomach and shines in yellow.
4. Heart Chakra
The heart chakra is where your intent originates. The energy of this chakra is divine unconditional love, compassion, truth and forgiveness. It is the center of the lower and upper chakras and needs to be mastered before moving on. It is close to our lungs and thus related to taking a clear deep breath and speaking from the heart. It is located in the middle of your chest and shines in green color which is the color of nature.
5. Throat Chakra
The throat chakra’s main energy is that of communication but also understanding and listening. With your clear intention, you can make yourself heard and manifest with this energy what you want in life. This is all about self-expression and shines in the blue color of communication.
6. Third Eye Chakra
The third eye chakra is all about intuition and divine wisdom. It is your connection to the spiritual world and allows you to have visions and to see the truth of all things. Indigo is the color of this energy center which is connected to the Pineal Gland.
7. Crown Chakra
The crown chakra is giving you cosmic awareness and cosmic consciousness through which your receive guidance and energy that flows through your body. It is located at the top of your head and shines in violet color.
Note that the colors represent the spectrum of visible light like a rainbow. Starting with red having the highest wavelength or lowest frequency all the way to violet with shorter wavelengths and higher frequencies.
It just occurs to me that when you go up from the bottom to the top that it basically represents our personal development throughout life. There is of course much more to it but in essence, it is what is happening to everyone. By analyzing your current life you can see where you are right now.
I am honestly not a chakra expert but I also think that this is not necessary as long as you understand the basics and apply the knowledge and live it. This is what wisdom is about.
The 7 Chakras And Their Meanings For Your Journey Through Life
So what is the meaning of your chakras for your life?
There is a whole science behind this topic and how you can relate anything in your life back to your chakras. This can be very helpful in order to resolve certain issues you have by understanding what is causing them. This will enable you to experience a more balanced life and health.
The other meaning is that we are all at a certain stage in our life that is represented by the number of “activated” chakras and the degree of their pureness.
Each chakra represents a level of consciousness that we have to get aware of within the reality of the material world. Mastering each single step and bringing your chakras in balance will enable you to connect your spinning and fully activated chakras with one another as you move up.
The more we develop and evolve the more we move up. By moving up we “activate” and cleanse our chakras. They are always activated but they can get clogged unless we get aware of it and resolve it. By moving up you also connect them to each other until you finally have balanced them all and connected them to one another.
But it does not stop there. There are more chakras that are above and below our bodies. Reconnecting to these chakras resembles our connection to our planet and to the sun and upper spheres. Being the link between the material and spiritual world is, in essence, the reason why we are here.
We are here to uplift the planet. In order to do this, we have to have both feet on the ground and be spiritually reconnecting to our inner source and “reaching higher” rather than getting lost in the illusion of reality that is created by our own repetitive thinking.
Although you are born with your chakras in balance, it does not take long for life’s experiences to cause a state of imbalance.
If you have an imbalance in your system it may indicate that one or several chakras are not spinning properly. Chakra balancing may be needed to improve your health and bring the chakras back to a state of perfect balance.
These blocks in the energy flow within the human energy field may cause anything from minor illnesses or a sense of feeling not quite right, through to a major illness.
Here is an idealized and simplified description of our life path:
When we are born all of our chakras are in balance. As we grow up, life’s experiences start causing some imbalances. So with the development of our self-awareness comes our ego having its own will.
Before that, we kind of have only our primal instincts (eat, poop, sleep, repeat) until we are experiencing what is happening around us and start to explore the world. We grow in our self-confidence and get aware of ourselves.
First, we only love our parents and later other people and animals and get a sense of compassion for others. We learn to express ourselves say and communicate to others. Then we learn to focus and concentrate, but also listen to our intuition. Finally, we get in contact with our spiritual origin and our purpose in life (in an ideal world).
You can see that it is hard to assign a chronological order or any order at all. Some people show some of these traits more than others and develop or dwindle them growing up.
The point is that you can actually clearly see how much your current life situation is corresponding to your chakras and if they are cleaned or not.
What is your major focus in life and which chakra can you assign to it?
Do you take care only of your basic and primary needs and have an overly high self-esteem, whereas the other aspects are neglected?
Or are you on the other hand “spiritual” while neglecting the physical aspects of life?
There is no such thing as coincidence
Realize that everything in life that you experience happens for a reason. This is not happening because of a predetermined destiny but because of what you are sending out and attracting back. Try to find out why things are happening to you and don’t look for the solution outside of you. You are the reason for everything that is happening to you. And you have the ability and responsibility to change that.
Your chakras can help you understand where you are in life and what you need to focus on to transform and transcend what is holding you back. Trust your intuition and let it guide you.
Don’t just know, be wise and act
With this basic understanding of the chakras, the knowledge about the 7 Hermetic Principles and how they can help you to reconnect with yourself, you have everything you need to be successful in life and do what you want.
Realize that you are creating the reflections around you by your thoughts and emotions. Getting into an inner state of balance together with a clearly set goal you can start to find your life purpose and inspire others with who you are and bring greatness into your life.
Start your holistic life transformation and change your life today to become your greatest version. Let’s make this world a better place by increasing our self-awareness, understanding our inherent power, and taking responsibility for our actions.
Have a wonderful week my friend
